Philly Panthers LCFL

Major League Football Program
The Philadelphia Panthers is a 501© (3), non profit organization founded by Damascene Pierre Paul to empower and mentor men ages (18-30) of Philadelphia / Tri-state area. Damascene, a Philadelphia native himself, knew first hand the benefit and discipline football provided for his life as a teenager. Thus, he created a program which enables young men to constructively channel their aggression; while growing and developing their knowledge and skills in the areas of financial literacy, career and skill assessment, planning and interpersonal relationships.

The Panthers’ mantra is STRENGTH, HONOR and INTREGRITY! It is through this belief that players are taught the power of restraint, setting goals, teamwork, and self-empowerment. In addition to the regular season, our members are active in numerous community service outreach initiatives, year-round including but not limited too: mentorship programs, holiday give back programs as well as Anti-violence campaigns, all while providing quality family entertainment every weekend during the football season.

We are always looking for more talent for our football team and in 2010, look for the Philadelphia Panthers Sports Mentoring Program. Our Mission and Purpose is as follow.

For more info contact the team owner Mr. Damascene Pierre Paul at 215-424-5140 or click here.

Philadelphia Eagles Honor 1960 NFL Championship

#22 Timmy Browm

Ask someone who leads the Philadelphia Eagles in all-purpose yardage, which includes kickoff and punt returns, and rushing and receiving yardages.
Brian Westbrook will be the logical guess, while others may get creative and think of Brian Mitchell.
The correct answer is Timmy Brown, who racked up 12,046 all-purpose yards.
12,046 yards don’t make you say, “Oh, I know what means,” like other numbers do, so try to put it in perspective for a moment.
If you took the all-purpose yardage of Westbrook (8,698) and combined it with that of Mitchell (5,087), you would only eclipse Brown by 1,739 yards.
Brown helped establish the all-time mark by leading all kick returners in Eagles history with 4,483 yards.
Brown didn’t just pile up the yards. He also found the end zone five times on kick returns, also a franchise record.
As if his ability to return kicks wasn’t enough, Brown led the team in rushing in 1962, ’63, ’65, and ’66.

In
Memory
of
#51Chris aka Dobbins Williams LB/DE

LCFL 2009 All-American

#51 Christopher Dobbins William was a current college student athlete at Lincoln University when he passes away this summer. Christopher always had a smile on and off the gridiron field. He self determination and desires to achieve his beliefs lead him to the Might Might Philadelphia Panthers Minor league football team in Philadelphia, where he help the Philadelphia Panthers win the (LCFL) LaBelle Community Football league’s National Championship in 2008-09. The LCFL is oldness active African American owned minor league football League’s in the USA. Christopher was the youngest player at 19 to ever win this coveted award. Whenever Chris was on the gridiron battlefield he showed no fear, but excitement to be a part of something special. He knew that he was at the right place at the right time in his life because he appreciated every minute that he was with the Philadelphia Panthers organization. Being a defensive Tight end or Outside linebacker Chris being the student of the game; would study his opponent and would figure on how to achieve the assignment that was needed on the field of battle. When the coaching staff recognized this ability, they had all confidents in Chris. The Philadelphia Panthers community and the community as a whole will miss Chris’s smile and charm dearly. We know that the cloudy field of the gridiron is where Chris lays. God bless him and his family

The 300 Spartans

The Panthers came out of their winter den hungry for a buck and what they caught was some Buccaneers, the Baltimore Buccaneers. Philadelphia Panthers Marques Slocum signs with

Washington Redskins

Marques currently played semi-pro football with the Philadelphia Panthers in the 2009- 2010 season. Marque has signed with the Washington Redskin's organization for the 2010 season. When Marque was with the Philadelphia Panthers, he absolutely dominated the line of scrimmage from both sides of the ball as an OG and DT. His speed, quickness and incredible power were unmatched in the league. Marque possesses incredible raw talent and upside potential. Marque’s mentor and friend Coach William Cooper stated “The Philadelphia Panthers organization helped Marque with many aspects of his professional career. The Panthers provided training, professional playing time and film product that was needed or requested of professional sport agents. Marque will literally EXPLODE onto the NFL in 2010. Marques was entertaining offers from multiple leagues in an attempt to best position himself for a run at an UFL, CFL or NFL mini camp and roster spot in 2010. He now is with Donovan McNabb formally of the Philadelphia Eagles. McNabb and Marque two of Philadelphia’s great sports figures are now in Washington DC. Good luck to the both of you!
